Live Cattle futures traded higher the majority of the day but remain in the same trading range that has been set for three weeks. Feeder Cattle futures pushed to new highs for the move as the CME Feeder Cattle index continues to move higher. Lean Hogs finished the day higher as the pork cutout remains at historic levels for December. Corn futures have now finished lower three days in a row after posting new highs for the month of December at the end of last week.

Live Cattle finished with a small weekly loss following another week of steady cash trade. Feeder Cattle futures finished the week higher as the Feeder Cattle index continues to work higher. Lean Hog futures fought off a bearish Hogs and Pigs Report in the middle of the week and remain near their highs of the month. Corn futures posted new highs for the month this morning as the technical picture continues to improve.

Live Cattle futures finished the week higher following a very quiet week of cash cattle. Feeder Cattle futures finished at the highest levels since the middle of October as the Feeder Cattle index continues to push higher. Lean Hogs have been supported by a strong pork cutout market and worries of pork supplies overseas. Corn futures finished the week with a net gain after testing support levels in the middle of the week.

Feeder Cattle futures were higher the entire day as the CME Feeder Cattle index continues to work higher. Lean Hog futures failed to post a new high for the move today but finished near the highs of the day. Corn futures have now finished lower three days in a row and are testing technical support levels.

Live Cattle futures ended the week lower after another week of higher cash trade and lower boxed beef prices. Feeder Cattle futures finished the week unchanged compared to last Friday as the CME Feeder Cattle index continues to work higher. Lean Hogs continue to be supported by the pork cutout and has pushed the futures to 45-day highs. Corn finished the week near its lows after this week’s friendly WASDE Report.

Live Cattle futures finished the day mostly higher as traders wait for indications as to what this week’s cash prices will be. Feeder Cattle futures trades both sides of steady before finishing slightly lower. Lean Hogs finished mostly lower breaking a four-day streak of higher closes. Corn futures found support on increased export demand in today’s WASDE Report.

Live Cattle futures surged higher to finish the week following a sharply higher cash market. Feeder Cattle futures also finished the week higher after testing technical support early in the week. Lean Hogs continue to find support surrounding the news of ASF in Spain. Corn futures bounced between resistance and support levels all week, but finished the week slightly lower.

Live Cattle futures finished the day sharply higher as feedlots are expecting a higher cash market this week. Feeder Cattle futures traded limit higher today but could not finish there as volatility remains extreme within the complex. Lean Hogs have finished lower three days in a row following the cash market lower while the cutout has found support. Corn took out overhead resistance this morning after news broke of tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Live Cattle futures have finished sharply higher each of the past two sessions as cash trade in the South beat expectations. Feeder Cattle futures also finished the week strong on very thin trade with a technically oversold market. Lean Hog futures have bounced off of long term support levels and have traded through overhead resistance levels. Corn futures gained back all of last week’s losses as export demand remains very strong.
